What happens at your client's first visit?
The first visit starts with a detailed history of the crash, including where your client was sitting and the direction of impact. We then run a full orthopedic and neurological exam and take x-rays before the first adjustment. The diagnosis and care plan are built on those measured findings.
Symptoms after a crash often show up two or three days later, so a client who feels fine on day one may not stay that way. Getting them evaluated early matters clinically, and it also closes the gap between the accident date and the first visit that an adjuster would otherwise point to.
How does CORE use x-rays?
We take precision digital x-rays in our office and read them ourselves. When the mechanism of injury calls for it, that includes flexion and extension views of the neck. We measure every x-ray and record findings like the cervical curve as numbers rather than impressions.
We take seven measurements on every x-ray, from the cervical curve and forward head posture down to pelvis position and the tilt and rotation of each vertebra. Those numbers become the x-ray notes our doctors pull up before every adjustment at all three offices. You can read more about our chiropractic x-rays.
For a case file, that means the imaging and the treatment plan start from the same measured baseline. When a client's findings call for an MRI or a specialist's opinion, we refer out.
How do you document care over time?
Accident patients complete an activity and functional limitation questionnaire, so there is a written record of what they could not do and when that changed. We code each visit correctly and keep the clinical narrative consistent from the first visit to the last.
A useful record tracks specific findings, measured range of motion, imaging results and functional limits across the course of care, so a reader can see what happened and what changed. That is the record we keep.
Do you provide narrative reports?
CORE prepares narrative reports on request, drawn from the clinical record: the injury history, exam and imaging findings, the care provided and how your client responded. Request one through the office where your client treats.
Because the report comes from the same measured record that guided the care, it says what the treatment notes say.
How do you handle PIP and letters of protection?
We work with the payment paths Texas auto injury cases use. PIP pays as your client treats. For represented clients, we accept letters of protection, and the letter runs through your office.
Health insurance can carry the care too when a client prefers it. Coverage often shifts during care, and we bill whichever source applies at the time.
How does a letter of protection work with CORE?
With a letter of protection, your client receives care now and our bill is paid from the settlement when the case settles. The letter runs through your office. If there is no recovery, the balance remains your client's responsibility.

How do you request records?
Send a written request with your client's signed authorization, their full name and date of birth, the records you need (billing, clinical notes, x-rays or the full file) and the dates of service. Send it to the office where your client treats, and allow up to five business days after we receive a completed request. Our page on how to request records has the details.
